The Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) will offer multiple Postdoctoral Fellowships and Professorships of All Ranks in economics, with initial terms of up to three years. Postdoc Fellowships may be converted to tenure-track positions following the second year.

KSE is a dynamic, highly rated private university, well linked to European and global academic communities. In the nearly four years since Russia’s full-scale invasion began, KSE has never closed its doors and, indeed, has grown rapidly.

The Department of Economics at the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG) invites applications for two assistant professor positions in economics in any field. The positions have a fixed term of 2 years and can be renewed for another 2 up to a maximum of 4 years. Due to legal requirements of civil servant status, tenure-track and tenured positions have to be conducted in a public administration concours. The university is in the process of opening several positions in the coming years to which the candidates will be invited to apply. Candidates should have a keen interest in economics, show outstanding research potential, and are expected to teach in our bachelor, master, and/or PhD program in Economics. The Department of Economics at ISEG covers different areas such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Applied Economics, Public economics, International Economics and Development. Knowledge of Portuguese is not required. Teaching can be conducted in English or Portuguese.

The Department of Economics in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Concordia University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Empirical Urban Economics of Transportation Electrification, an area aligned with the Volt-Age electrification research program. Duties include research, teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and service to the institution. The ideal candidate will conduct empirical research on the economics of transportation electrification, with particular interest in policy-relevant impacts on housing markets, land use, travel behaviour, equity, and/or decarbonization outcomes. Using causal identification strategies, the research is expected to examine how electrification investments interact with behavioural responses, incentives, and/or economic conditions to inform effective, equitable, and sustainable policy design.

Candidates must have completed their PhD in Economics or be near completion at the start date of the appointment. The main criteria for selection are scholarly and teaching excellence. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent potential in empirical economics, with strong skills in causal inference and applied econometric methods. Priority will be given to candidates whose current research examines the economic impacts of transportation electrification, including, for instance, electric vehicle adoption, EV charging infrastructure, urban and regional outcomes, travel behaviour, housing and land-use markets, and other related policy or equity issues. The successful candidate will provide evidence of high-quality scholarly output that demonstrates potential for independent research leading to peer assessed publications and the securing of external research funding, as well as strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions and course development at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Candidates are encouraged to share any career interruptions or personal circumstances that may have had an impact on their career goals (such as the decision to have a family, eldercare, illness, and so forth) in their letter of application. The Department of Economics at Queen’s University invites applications for two Weatherall Postdoctoral Fellowships. This posting is for a new position within the University. This is a one-year fellowship, commencing on July 1st, 2026, with the possibility of renewal for a second year, which shall commence on July 1st, 2027. The Postdoctoral Fellow will work under the supervision of a host professor in the Department. While we are particularly interested in applicants with research and teaching interests in the areas of international economics, applied econometrics, and finance, applicants in other fields are also encouraged to apply.

Applicants must obtain clearance to graduate from their PhD program before starting their postdoctoral fellowship.

Postdoctoral Fellows appointed to these positions are expected to reside in Kingston, to be actively involved in the day-to-day life of the Economics Department, and to collaborate in developing research ideas with faculty and students in the Department.

The annual salary for this appointment is expected to be between $70,000 and $75,000. Actual salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The incumbent will also be expected to teach two courses per year, for which they will be separately compensated. In addition, the Department of Economics will provide some resources to cover research expenses. These may include, for example, computer hardware and software, technical books and journals, and travel to conferences.

The School of Economics at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) is seeking to appoint a full-time, Postdoctoral Research Fellow for a 1-year fixed term position, with the potential for extension.

Details of the Position

As the Postdoctoral Fellow, you will drive and contribute to research aimed at improving the design of the tax transfer system. This research project is funded by a major grant from the Australian Research Council (ARC) to Professors Michael Keane and Alan Woodland. The grant supports research aimed at building more sophisticated labor supply models into macroeconomic models that are used for optimal tax analysis.

The role will undertake both collaborative and self-directed research in the general areas supported by the grant, including labor supply modelling, optimal tax modelling within an overlapping generations framework and the interface between the two. The position is based at the School of Economics but will have interactions with academic members from UNSW Centre for Population Ageing Research (CEPAR). The role will support the research team, meet project milestones, and will build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The role will report to Professors Michael Keane and Alan Woodland and has no direct reports.

Some Key Skills Required

• PhD in Economics or related area. Fields of interest are macroeconomics, labor, public finance, econometrics, and computational economics.

• Experience with dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) models, overlapping generations (OLG) models, and/or dynamic labor supply models.

• Strong skills in computational economics, including solution methods for DSGE/OLG models and dynamic programming models. Familiarity with simulation and calibration methods.

• Strong skills in econometrics, including familiarity with method of moments and maximum likelihood estimators, as well as experience in estimating labor supply models and models of wage dynamics

• Ability to work with large datasets, particularly panel and cross section data sets of the types widely used in micro-econometrics, and to calibrate macro models.

• Programming skills in languages such as Fortran, Python, Julia, MATLAB, Gauss, etc.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research with limited supervision.

• Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.

• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and students.

Postdoctoral Associate in Climate Economics and Urban Resilience

Postdoctoral Research Associate in Climate Economics and Urban Resilience The lab of Yichun Fan, Assistant Professor of Climate Economics at the Nicholas School of the Environment, Duke University, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join its research group starting in Fall 2026. The lab focuses broadly on the Economics of Climate Adaptation, with a particular emphasis on Urban Resilience to Climate Risks.

Current research themes include:

• Adaptation of People: Leveraging big data and computational methods to analyze adaptation behaviors and incorporate its costs and benefits into climate impact assessments.

• Adaptation of Places: Partnering with natural scientists and engineers to conduct economic analyses of climate-resilient infrastructure that inform urban planning and public investment decisions.

• Adaptation Finance: Examining how insurance markets and public finance mechanisms influence the efficiency and equity of climate adaptation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct original economic and interdisciplinary research in the themes above.

• Collaborate with internal and external research partners.

• Contribute to grant application and the development of competitive research proposals.

• Provide mentorship to graduate and undergraduate students in the lab.

Required Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in environmental economics, urban economics, public policy, urban planning, data science, environmental science, or a related field.

• Strong quantitative skills in applied economic analysis (e.g., causal inference, econometrics, spatial equilibrium modeling).

• Experience working with large-scale datasets and interdisciplinary research.

• Demonstrated research productivity in relevant areas (e.g., peer-reviewed publications, working papers).

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.

Work Location and Term

This position is based at the Nicholas School of the Environment, Duke University, in Durham, North Carolina. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal.

We are looking for one Postdoc (4 years) and one PhD Student to join our research project “Pesticides and Human Health”. The positions are fully funded through a grant from the Novo Nordisk Foundation. The start date for both positions is 1 September 2026.

Research project
Pesticides are widely used in agricultural production to combat unwanted insects and fungi around crops, thereby increasing output per acre. We humans are exposed to pesticides daily both through our diet and through the environment. This happens, for example, through the air we breathe.

We still lack answers pertaining to the public health consequences of indirect pesticide exposure. Pregnant women are particularly vulnerable to environmental impacts, as exposure to toxic substances can be transferred to the unborn child via the placenta and thus affect the development of the fetus. This can, for example, result in the mother losing her child or the child being born with congenital malformations.

This research project will investigate whether there is a causal relationship between indirect exposure to pesticides through the air and population health. We will investigate how pesticides affect the population's fertility, pregnancy outcomes, and children's health and education.

Postdoc position

Duties and Responsibilities

As a postdoc on the project, you are expected to:

  • Develop and co-author with the other project members on research papers.
  • Participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences.
  • Teach and disseminate your research

Qualifications

The School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a one-year visiting teaching assistant professor faculty position in the field of public policy, broadly defined. The full-time (9-month) position will begin in August 2026. Applicants must have earned a PhD in a relevant field (e.g., public affairs, public policy, public administration, political science, economics) by the time of the appointment. We seek candidates with experience teaching in public policy and knowledge of a particular policy area, with a focus on U.S. public policy. Much of the academic content, which covers topics in micro, macro and financial econometrics, already exists and is currently being taught on the highly successful MSc in Financial Economics (MFE). However, the content of the MFE, which has been developed for in-person teaching, needs to be adapted to the requirements of high-quality on-line learning. It is this adaptation which will form the bulk of the postholder’s responsibility in the first two years in the post. Afterwards, the postholder will be expected to continuously maintain and review the materials for the MAFE and will also be required to deliver lectures and supervision at other programmes within the Economics Department.

The Department of Economics at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) invites applications for a three-year Postdoctoral position within the project The Age of Creativity: Understanding How Creativity Persists into Later Life, funded by a Carlsberg Foundation grant awarded to Professor Karol J. Borowiecki.

Description

The successful applicant will join the Historical Economics and Development Group (HEDG), one of Europe’s leading centers for quantitative research in economic history, including the economic history of the arts.

HEDG is recognized for its strong research profile, attracting substantial external funding and media attention, and publishing widely in top academic outlets. As part of an international department where the working language is English, HEDG provides a vibrant and collaborative research environment.

The successful candidate will join the Carlsberg Foundation-funded project, The Age of Creativity: Understanding How Creativity Persists into Later Life. The project examines how creativity evolves across the life course, with a particular focus on its persistence into older age. It investigates when creativity peaks, why it can endure, and which personal, social, and institutional factors allow it to flourish over long careers.

Using unique large-scale longitudinal data on artists and academic scholars, the project applies methods from applied econometrics and economic demography to analyze creative productivity, originality, and influence over time. This research addresses a fundamental scientific question and contributes to policy debates on innovation, aging, and lifelong productivity in modern societies.

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to a high-quality research environment by pursuing an independent research agenda and actively participating in the research project led by Professor Karol Jan Borowiecki, while also fostering a positive and constructive working environment through openness to interdisciplinary collaboration across the department and with external collaborators.

Profile and Requirements

  • PhD degree in economics or a related discipline
  • Documented research experience in applied econometrics.
  • Team-oriented with effective communication skills.
  • Be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • A track record in participating in national and/or European research projects is a plus.

Preferred qualifications (an advantage):

  • Demonstrated interest in economic history and/or cultural economics.

As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will join LLUI’s Department of Wealth Creation and work under the supervision of four affiliated faculty members: Michael Weber, Francesco D’Acunto, Andreas Neuhierl, and Alberto Rossi, who are leading empirical researchers specializing in asset pricing, investments, and behavioral finance. Their work focuses on cutting-edge areas such as big data analytics, machine learning, behavioral and cognitive economics, finance, and survey-based research.

Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to supervise predocs and (at a later stage) PhD students, collaborate with LLUI-affiliated faculty and researchers on high-impact academic research projects, and disseminate research with national and international presentations as well as academic publications.

All research activities are conducted in English. The primary workplace is Vitznau (Switzerland), with the flexibility to work remotely up to one day per week.

LLUI Wealth provides a vibrant research environment with ample resources to further develop an existing research program. These include two pre-doctoral fellows who can assist in data collection and analysis, internal grants for data acquisition, and a research budget for presenting at conferences. The Department of Economics of the Central European University (CEU) invites applications for the position of a Postdoctoral Researcher for the duration of two years (extension may be possible).

We are looking for an outstanding postdoctoral researcher to join our project on “Social Responsibility in Markets and Beyond.” In this project, we will combine behavioral economic theory, experiments, and survey data to study the potential role of socially responsible individuals in markets as well as in collective decisions more generally. We will theoretically investigate the impact of individuals on socially relevant equilibrium outcomes – such as externalities – different types of socially responsible preferences, and how both of these affect individual actions; and we will explore empirically via surveys and experiments what impact individuals believe they have, what determines these beliefs, and identify individuals’ moral preferences or views, and measure how these affect their actual behaviors.

The positions will be based at the Department of Economics at Central European University for the duration of two years. The position will start August 1, 2026 or possibly earlier. The Principal Investigator for this project is Marc Kaufmann. On the theory side, the work is joint with Botond Kőszegi, while the empirical work partially overlaps with other researchers studying (mis)beliefs in economics, including Maite Deambrosi, Christoph Drobner, and Adam Szeidl.

Qualifications

• Completed or are close to obtaining a PhD in economics or a related field.

The Department of Economics of the Central European University (CEU) invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Researcher for the duration of two years.

We are looking for an outstanding postdoctoral researcher to join our project on “Forecasting with Feedback.” In this project, we will combine applied economic theory, macroeconomic modeling, and econometric techniques to study the properties of forecasts that are subject to feedback. The case in point is inflation forecasts produced by a central bank, which play a dual role. They are meant to provide an accurate prediction of realized inflation over some horizon but, at the same time, they also serve as an input for setting monetary policy. Feedback occurs because monetary policy affects future inflation --- the outcome that the forecast is meant to predict. Our existing work on this problem is summarized by this research paper. In future research we plan to i) extend this model in various directions so that it can be taken to the data in a more disciplined and realistic way; ii) relate the implications of the model to the literature on monetary policy regime changes in the U.S.; iii) collect data from various other central banks around the world to test the observable implications of the model more generally.

The position will be based at the Department of Economics at Central European University for the duration of two years. The position will start August 1, 2026. The Principal Investigator for this project is Robert Lieli. The work is joint with Augusto Nieto Barthaburu (Universidad Nacional de Tucuman) while Katrin Rabitsch (Vienna University of Economics and Business) provides advice on macroeconomic modeling.

Position Introduction

We are seeking multiple highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to join an interdisciplinary research team engaged in a close collaboration with a leading global ride-hailing platform. This ambitious project aims to advance our understanding of digital marketplace design by studying the interactions between customers and drivers, as well as the platform’s operational and strategic choices.

A defining strength of this collaboration is access to exceptionally rich, high-resolution proprietary data from the platform. This unique dataset supports rigorous empirical analysis and enables high-fidelity modeling and simulation of marketplace dynamics at scale. Research topics span a broad set of questions, including how pricing strategies, incentive structures, dispatch algorithms, and service quality shape the behavior and outcomes of customers, drivers, and the platform itself.

We welcome applicants with strong backgrounds in causal inference, structural estimation, advanced machine learning, and simulation. We are especially interested in scholars eager to apply cutting-edge methods to real- world data to uncover insights that are both academically rigorous and practically actionable. The overarching goal is to inform the design of smarter, more equitable, and more efficient platform ecosystems.

The position will be formally affiliated with the School of Management and Economics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen). The postdocs will be supervised by Prof. Yiming Zhang of CUHK-Shenzhen. The research team includes the following faculty from other institutions: Prof. Qiuping Yu (Georgetown), Prof. Yong-Pin Zhou(University of Washington), and Prof. Yunan Ji (Georgetown).

Since 2018, our research team has maintained a close collaboration with this ride-hailing platform. Our prior work has focused on the design and optimization of virtual queuing systems, combining large-scale randomized field experiments with structural modeling to generate actionable insights. Research from this partnership has been published in Management Science and received multiple awards, including the MSOM Service Management SIG Best Paper Award, INFORMS Service Science Best Paper Award, and the CSAMSE Best Practice Award. Notably, our recommended strategies were adopted platform-wide and led to an 80% improvement in customer experience.

Research Team

  • Prof. Yiming Zhang is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at the School of Management and Economics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. His research focuses on platform operations. He has extensive collaboration experience with platform firms, including the ride-sharing, food delivery, and logistics platforms. His work has been published in Management Science and has received several best paper awards.
  • Prof. Qiuping Yu is an Associate Professor of Operations Management and Business Analytics at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. Her research explores how digital and service platforms can improve operational efficiency and equity by harnessing real-world behavioral data from both consumers and workers. She employs a range of methods—including large-scale field experiments, structural modeling, and machine learning—to generate actionable insights on platform design, labor scheduling, and fairness across sectors such as ridesharing, retail, restaurants, customer service, and law enforcement. Qualifications:

About the Role

The successful candidate will work as a junior collaborator with the Project Investigators –Prof Mikhail Anufriev, Prof Adeline Delavande, and A/Prof Nathan Kettlewell from the UTS Business School’s Economics Department, and Dr Maryam Naghsh Nejad from CHERE, UTS, along with Partner Investigators Giacomo Tarantolo from UniSuper and Dr Shang Wu from Aware Super). The position will be based at UTS and play a central role in the delivery of the project. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, a practical approach, independence and a commitment to high-quality work. Their responsibilities will include helping shape the research agenda and managing day-to-day project operations alongside the Chief Investigators, compiling large-scale linked datasets, conducting data analysis, and co-authoring scholarly outputs. They will also lead aspects of a representative survey, including research design, cognitive testing and coordination with an external survey provider. This is an ideal opportunity to grow a research profile in a broad and expanding field of economics. The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) Chair in Monetary Policy Studies at the University of Pretoria is dedicated to supporting the SARB’s institutional mandate through rigorous scholarly research and advanced postgraduate training in economics relevant to monetary policy.

About CEGIS

Centre for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS – pronounced See-Jis) aims to improve lives by helping Indian state governments deliver better development outcomes. CEGIS Approach and Model of Functioning

Our solutions to enhance governance are co-created with state governments in a “state-led” way, where we focus on deep partnerships with states with an iterative cycle of “think-demonstrate-document-transfer”. We work closely with the top bureaucratic leadership, front-line workers and public officials in Finance, Planning, Human Resources and a few other priority line departments. Many of our solutions reflect ideas outlined in our founder Prof. Karthik Muralidharan’s book (Accelerating India’s Development), and these solutions are constantly being refined based on real-time feedback and are designed to both be customized to the contexts we are working in, and to create templates that can provide the starting point for replication across contexts.

Position Summary: Economist/Sr. Economist

As the demand for CEGIS’s offerings is growing, we aim to hire multiple Economists to join the “Economics and Statistics Unit” (ESU) at CEGIS to conduct economic analysis focused on state-level policy issues in India. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of driving analytical work and conducting impactful research on policies and programmes that can boost the effectiveness of thousands of crores of public spending, and thereby improve the translation of public expenditure into development outcomes for millions of people.

You will work closely with a diverse team of analysts and economists in close collaboration with senior government officials and with technical guidance and inputs from Prof. Karthik Muralidharan (and other faculty members as appropriate).

As a CEGIS Economist, key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): (a) conducting original research and technical analysis to evaluate new proposed expenditure items - we are interested in both causal inference and predictive analytics; (b) conducting economic analysis of government policies and programs and evaluating key programs; (c) staying abreast of and summarizing relevant research for answering policy questions; (d) knowing and understanding major datasets on the Indian economy, and helping to merge and manage these datasets to enable rapid policy-relevant analysis, (e) identifying and liaising with academic and other researchers to obtain expert inputs into policy decisions, and (f) mentoring and coaching teams of analysts with undergraduate and master’s degrees. Role and Responsibilities

1. Economic Research and Technical Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive economic research and analysis on various policy and programmatic issues relevant to state governments.
  • Review and synthesize research literature to inform policy and intervention design
  • Develop data-driven insights and recommendations to support effective policy implementation and governance reforms.
  • Provide technical leadership and inputs to CEGIS field projects, including sampling design, data analytical frameworks, and analytical tools.
  • Coordinate internal reviews, offer substantive advice on economic rationale and quality of economic analysis in CEGIS’s strategies, programs, and projects.
  • Curate and update datasets (international, national, and state) for rapid analysis.

2. Policy Development and Collaboration

  • Engage with senior government officials to identify research, analysis, and knowledge gaps that can be filled by CEGIS
  • Engage with a range of stakeholders, including government officials, researchers, and think-tanks, to foster effective policy dialogues and knowledge sharing across Indian states, and beyond.
  • Support CEGIS teams and projects in developing and implementing evidence-based policy solutions, providing critical economic insights and analyses.
  • Translate economic research findings into practical policy ideas and reforms that can be presented to state governments for consideration.

3. Knowledge Creation and Dissemination

  • Draft high-quality notes, reports, policy briefs, and academic papers, applying economic concepts and analytical methods effectively.
  • Create and present accessible content to communicate complex economic findings and insights to both academic and non-academic audiences.
  • Serve as a liaison between CEGIS projects and external academic and technical experts, ensuring the relevance and rigor of economic analysis.
  • Contribute to and oversee the production, quality control, and dissemination of diverse knowledge outputs, including academic publications.
  • Engage with media, public forums, and academic conferences to promote discourse on key economic issues and share CEGIS’s research contributions.

Education & Skills

  • Ph.D. in Economics, Public Policy, Applied Statistics/Data Science, or a related field is strongly preferred (‘Ph.D and 0-6 years’ experience will be considered for an Economist position, and 6-12 years would be evaluated for a Sr Economist position)
  • Proficiency in data science methods such as predictive modeling (building, comparing, and tuning predictive models; cross-validation and out of sample evaluations; updating models over time); management and manipulation of large scale datasets; and some CEGIS domain-specific ML skills (small-area estimation and forecasting; risk scoring and early warning systems will be greatly valued
  • Familiarity with major research datasets covering India and experience in compiling and using complex datasets.
  • Strong writing and communication skills in English; fluency in other Indian languages, especially Hindi, is a plus.

Experience

  • Applied research and policy at any level, with a focus on public finance, budget analysis, and program-level analysis.
  • Cutting edge data analytics for decision making; conducting rapid A/B tests with iterative experimental designs will be a plus
  • Writing high-quality policy briefs, research papers, and notes.
  • Exposure to project design and implementation, particularly in collaboration with government officials or large-scale projects, is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated interest in government functioning improvement and using research, data analytics, and evidence to inform policy.

Job description

The Blockchain@X Research Center at École polytechnique invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship under the supervision of Professor Julien Prat. This full-time, in-person position begins in summer 2026 and is offered for a duration of two years.

The fellowship focuses on research related to the digitalization of finance, with particular emphasis on blockchains, tokenization, and decentralized finance. The successful candidate will benefit from the expertise developed by our research team over the past five years and will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with researchers in economics and computer science who have a well-established track record in digital finance.

The postdoctoral fellow is expected to work closely and actively with all members of the Center. We foster a dedicated and highly interactive research community, with expectations of both collaborative work in small groups and independent research projects.

The primary selection criterion is research excellence in digital finance, along with a clear interest in contributing to the Center’s research agenda. Candidates must have a strong academic background in the field, demonstrated by a PhD in Economics or Finance.

Assistant Professorship in Finance (W1 with Tenure Track to W2)

The position is full-time, with an anticipated start date no later than October 1, 2026.

Formal requirements are regulated by §36 Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen). The position is initially offered for a three-year period and, subject to a positive mid-term evaluation, extended by another three years. In the case of a positive final evaluation, the position will be made permanent as an Associate Professorship (W2).

Teaching obligations generally correspond to one course per semester. All teaching at the graduate level is conducted in English. Teaching at the undergraduate level can be conducted in English or German.

The New Zealand Policy Research Institute is a dynamic and collaborative centre dedicated to high-quality research that advances evidence-based policymaking and contributes to a more equitable and informed society. Our work focuses on labour market dynamics, workplace diversity, health, education, and social policy. Our research is both academically rigorous and directly relevant to policymakers in business, government, and the wider community.

We actively engage with external stakeholders and undertake commissioned research for various agencies, including the Ministry of Social Development, Te Ara Ahunga Ora Retirement Commission, and the Ministry for Ethnic Communities.

Many of our current projects leverage New Zealand’s population-wide administrative database, the Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI), which contains microdata from government agencies and Stats NZ surveys. The IDI offers a powerful resource for understanding complex societal issues and informing evidence-based policymaking.

We are seeking a Research Fellow for a two-year fixed-term appointment, with a flexible start date.

  • Educational background: PhD (or near completion) with quantitative expertise in a relevant field, for example, Economics, Public Policy, Public Health, or another area aligned to the work of the Institute.
  • Technical skills: Strong empirical skills and experience using large linked administrative datasets and/or large-scale surveys.
